Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I'm a web developer. I help make deviantART work. I occasionally break it (see badges).
I would love to be able to draw but so far no attempts have proved that to be a reasonable expectation. I'd say I have a good enough eye for aesthetics, layout and design, (I've designed a bunch of websites and simple print stuff) but I've never considered myself a designer or artist.
These days I stay pretty firmly in code land and love the creativity of solving complex problems. Alas, it is hard to express this creativity in a gallery!

Hey, I have a question..Can you somehow help me to change my birthday? It's just wrong written... it's written that I have on the 3th birthday. But I have on the 23th..I need help..
Sure, go to settings (hover over your username up in the site header bar and then choose "Settings" from drop down menu). Then click "General" under the "Personal" header on the left. In the first box on the right you should see your birthday with a link next to it saying "Change birthday".
If you don't see that change link it may be because you already changed your birthday before - we limit users to only change once to correct a mistake, allowing people to change it all the time can lead to abuse and confusion in our systems. If that is the case for you and you really do need it changed, you can contact our help desk: [link].

"Wouldn't it be cool to have music play when your art comes up? Maybe a play button, so it is not automatic. a 15 second song loop that the artist chooses. It is just an idea for now. I hope DA and you would like this idea (yes, I am capable of making classical music as well as any other form of music)."
That is my pitch to artists and to DeviantArt. I think this idea would be such a big boon to the music artist, and be seen as favorable to DA and the Artist in general.
I can provide free, royalty free music, maybe for a credit or link to my music page? This can grow to big bands in the future. Float the trial balloon.
